The GIS center in Dubai Municipality held a virtual meeting with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s directors and employees, in order to cooperate and participate in building a sustainable city. In that meeting, the GISc introduced the geospatial initiatives, the importance of data for the Emirate and their role in supporting Dubai 2021 plan of being the smartest city globally. Furthermore, the technologies used in the center such as the geospatial car and the panoramic images, were also displayed, in addition to Dubai Here’s system and the geographic addressing system ‘Makani’. Moreover, a discussion was made on the geospatial maturity project based on studies and analysis of the road map so that the GISc in Dubai Municipality become the best in the world.
