Based on the keenness of the GIS Center in Dubai Municipality to show the best practices and cooperate with different entities, it held a virtual meeting with Nakheel Properties' directors represented by Mr. Ahmed Al Ahmed, Chief Information Officer and Chairman of Nakheel PJSC. During that meeting, the center displayed the importance of the geospatial data for the Emirate and its role in supporting Dubai’ vision and plan for 2021 to be a smart city. In addition, the center presented the most important projects implemented, such as Dubai Here’s system, the base-map’s project for Dubai’s Emirate, the geospatial services center’s project and Dubai BIM Roadmap Design and Implementation’s project, as well as introduced the most important technologies used in the center namely: the geospatial car, the drone, the Indoor mapping system and others.
