Dubai Municipality has launched a project to design a new electronic system for building permits on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.The consulting firm implementing the project provided a detailed presentation of the project objectives, scope of work, implementation plan and project team. This project aims to design a modern system that uses the latest technologies in the field of building permits and provides a one stop shop for applying to all related services, starting from applying for a permit, then following up on inspection, monitoring the construction process and ending up with completion of the building and the connection of services. The system is planned to be integrated with both BIM and GIS standards, which will contribute in raising the customer satisfaction level, speeding up the process of delivering services related to building permits, and enhancing the emirate's competitiveness in the Global Competitiveness Index.
